General Meeting and Texas Historic Landmark Presentation

The Comfort Heritage Foundation will host their next general meeting on Monday, March 9th starting at 7 pm at the historic Welfare Schoolhouse at 217 Waring-Welfare Road in Welfare. After a brief business discussion, one of our members will share the history of the Welfare schoolhouse and of rural Texas education there back in the late 1800's and early 1900's. The schoolhouse has recently been restored and is a beautiful relic of a one room schoolhouse. Everyone is welcome to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
