DESCRIPTION:Just a reminder that our annual Authors\, Artists and Artisans (AAA) Day coming up on Saturday\, April 18 from 8 am to 4 pm\, now relocated to the Library's Learning Center on 7th Street. Again this year we're holding it simultaneously with the Comfort Read-a-Thon\; in addition\, the Comfort Heritage Foundation\, along with Humanities Texas and the Bullock Texas State History Museum\, have an exciting display\, Forgotten Gateway: Coming to America through Galveston Island\, set up along the periphery in the Learning Center so you can enjoy it while you're here. Since the Read-a-Thon will be happening at the same time\, several local authors will be reading during this event from the books they have recently authored! But anyone can read during the Read-a-Thon\, and you can read from a book\, magazine\, newspaper\, e-book\, or any other medium as long as it's "G-rated". For more information\, or to sign up for the Read-a-Thon or AAA Day\, call the Library at 830-995-2398. We'd love to include you!!
